Here's a look at our daughter's beautiful girly Neverland themed nursery!
I am SO excited to finally show you all Baby A's nursery AND announce her name!
I know you all have been excited to see what my husband and I have come up with. I'm sure you all guessed our baby girl's nursery was going to be some sort of Disney theme, and you were sort of right :) It's a Neverland/Peter Pan theme!
Peter Pan is my all time favorite Disney movie. I grew up watching it over and over and I knew my future child would grow up to love it too. So, obviously I had to decorate ARIA'S nursery with this theme! Isn't her name gorgeous by the way?
Pinterest is usually my inspiration when I decorate any part of my house. It always has beautiful ideas that I love to copy, haha! But when it came to Aria's nursery, I couldn't find anything Neverland related without it having a boyish theme to it. I am obsessed with pink so I wanted her room to scream girly. So I had to get creative and think of some things on my own. It turned out beautifully!
We decided to paint her walls with pink and gold, and I just had to add a glitter wall somewhere in there! Above is the glitter wall, but it didn't show up that well. We got the glitter paint from Lowes but ended up just buying spray paint and spraying it. We used this spray paint in case you are wondering. It shows up much better in real life than it does in the pictures. We liked it a lot better than the paint.
We got the beautiful signs on the wall from Hobby Lobby. I chose to put these particular signs up in her room for a very personal reason. Most of you know we have had our struggles with infertility. Before I got pregnant with Aria, I loved to listen to the song "Even If" by MercyMe. This song was a big light to me on my hardest days. It helped me see that even if God never allowed me to be a mom, He was still good and wanted what was best for me and my life. It encouraged me SO much! At the end of the song, he sings a verse of the old hymn "It is Well". So I just had to include this little detail in her room as a reminder to my husband and I how much God has carried us and given us.
We got the rocker from Target and I absolutely LOVE it. It is so much more comfy than a rocking chair and this little corner was the perfect place for a comfy feeding station. I put all of her blankets in this basket from Big Lots right beside the chair and it was also the perfect place to put the Boppy pillow. We were gifted the blanket on the chair and it went absolutely perfect with her theme because it's a Peter Pan quote I adore.
"You know that place between sleep and awake, that place where you still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting.”
This is supposed to be her reading corner, but we have yet to find a good bookshelf! If you have any recommendations of where to find one, please let me know!
Her crib is my absolute FAVORITE part of the nursery! We found the quilt, mobile, and bed skirt at Babies R Us for 50% off. It came as a package and it just fit perfectly with all of the decor. Her sheets are from Buy Buy baby, and so is the crib. We got the crib for less than $300 which I thought was a STEAL because everywhere else we looked they were much more expensive. We got the decal from a friend of mine and I was so pleased with how it turned out. It just gives a personal touch to everything!
My fur baby Bentley already LOVES Aria's room. He sits on her rug all the time and just plays with his toys. Its like he knows she is coming soon and my heart cant handle it! Haha! The rug is from Target as well.
I hope you all love her room as much as we do! We can't wait to meet our beautiful princess in less than 11 weeks.
